Gift the profound experience of authentic aged Chinese tea with the OUDA Premium Xiao Qing Gan Gift Box. This luxurious selection is a harmonious blend of the most prized citrus peel in China—from Xinhui—and rare, high-grade Pu-erh from Yunnan, making it an exceptional present or a personal indulgence.

The Rarity of Tianma Village

The magic begins with the citrus peel. We source exclusively from Tianma Village, Xinhui, a micro-region revered as the core heartland of Xinhui Tangerine cultivation. Its unique terroir yields a citrus fruit of unparalleled quality, but with a production volume that accounts for less than 1% of the total area, making this peel exceptionally rare and valuable. The surface of these peels is marked by large, distinct oil sacs, releasing a powerful, fragrant citrus oil even with a light scratch.

Aged Excellence: 5-Year Palace-Grade Pu-erh

Inside each piece of Xiao Qing Gan is 5-Year Aged Palace-Grade (Gongting) Ripe Pu-erh from the famous Menghai Tea Region in Yunnan. Palace Grade tea consists primarily of the finest, young golden tea buds—only about 30kg can be carefully hand-selected from every 1000kg of raw material. This rarity ensures a tea liquor that is exceptionally thick, smooth, and mellow, perfectly complementing the zesty citrus notes.

Crafted by Sunlight: 168-Hour Sun Drying

The fusion of peel and tea is achieved through pure natural sun-drying (生晒), a labor-intensive process that lasts a full 168 hours. This prolonged exposure to natural sunlight allows the tea’s internal compounds to slowly and thoroughly absorb the tangerine oil, resulting in a rich, integrated flavor that artificial drying simply cannot replicate.

Brewing Mastery: Lasting Flavor for an Entire Day

Each piece is designed for endurance, capable of lasting for an entire day of continuous brewing.

How to Brew Your Xiao Qing Gan:

  1. The Whole Brew (Recommended): Gently lift or remove the small “lid” of the tangerine. Place the entire piece into a teapot or gaiwan. Rinse once with boiling water (discarding the water). Steep for about 15 seconds for the second brew. Increase steeping time slightly for later brews.
  2. The Crushed Peel Method: Remove the lid, gently crush the peel, and place the tea and peel pieces together into the vessel. Rinse once. Steep for only 5 seconds initially, increasing the time as needed.
  3. The Perforated Brew (Drill Hole Method): Remove the lid. Use a small tool to gently poke a few small holes into the peel, ensuring the tea leaves inside do not scatter. Place the perforated piece into your vessel. Rinse once. Steep for about 10 seconds for the second brew. This method allows for a faster release of flavor while keeping the piece intact.
  4. Note: It is generally recommended not to brew the small lid piece, as it can sometimes contribute a slightly bitter taste.
