Takes your health seriously! That’s why all of our products undergo pesticide testing, and we ensure that none of them exceed the EU’s maximum residue limits.
Our OUDA TEA brand has been tested in the Sinoanalytica laboratory for the most common types of pesticides, and all results have shown no exceedance of the maximum residue limits set by the European Commission for Food Safety.
From October 2013 to the end of 2013, we tested for 26 pesticides. If any pesticides not included in this list were present, they would not have been detected.Since 2014, we expanded our testing to include 42 pesticides. Again, any pesticide not included in the list of 42 will not be detected. From 2016 to the end of 2020, we tested for 191 pesticides. From 2021 onward, we expanded the testing to 404 pesticides.
For more information about the European Commission’s safety standards for pesticides in tea, see below.
Report Limit
This refers to the amount below which the MRL test is unable to detect the pesticide. In most cases, this limit is 1/100th ppm (0.01 mg/kg).
EU (MRL) Limitation
This is the Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) for a given pesticide in tea (code 0610000) as set by the European Commission on Food Safety. If a product exceeds this limitation, it would not be produced or sold under the OUDA TEA Brand label.
The MRL for each of the pesticides we tested for below can also be found at the EU Pesticides Database by following this address: https://ec.europa.eu/food/plant/pesticides/eu-pesticides-database/start/screen/mrls
If any levels of DDT, DDD, or DDE (06-1, 06-2, 06-3, 06-4, 06-5) are detected (even if they are within the EU Limitation), OUDA TEA LLC will not allow these products to be used or included in our branded productions.
